How are you? I am very good, still on vacation in Portugal :) even though the weather is not the best (either is windy or cloudy) me and Rob and Gabriel we have been able to do many nice trips. Yesterday we actually drove to the north coast in Alentejo, up to Azenha do Mar where you can find the only and the best seafood restaurant for some miles. You got to go there max at 11.30 a.m. If you want to make sure you are going to have lunch. Huge amounts of people can wait to eat there! That's how good it is. And..it's absolutely worth the wait and the drive. Excellent food and service. We have had clams, huge prawns, octopus salad, king crab and fried calamari. I was exploding! It was excellent! And cheap!
To help the digestion...what's better than driving all around the coast and stopping by amazing beaches? Honestly over there is so beautiful...it looks like no man arrived in some of those areas...it's so wild and Jurassic, if I can say that!

Your pictures of Alentejo are really amazing. First, let me say that baby is absolutely adorable. As stunning as the pictures of the beach are, I have to comment about the local seafood for a second. I have never seen shrimp so large and delicious looking in my life. Those shrimp was almost as big as the entire spoon in that picture. LUCKY YOU!

Alentejo is extremely beautiful and there are plenty of amazing wild beaches to take stunning pics of. In general the food in Portugal is really amazing, but I have to say that that seafood restaurant was even over the average! I really recommend to travel there at least once in life! :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great place to get fresh seafood is off the cost of Maine. If you like lobster, especially, the Maine coast is the place to go. There are many seafood restaurants there that serve very fresh lobster. You can even have lobsters sent back home on ice. People really do this because it is so good. Other types of seafood are also available, but lobster is their specialty.
